Pan Pan Associate Artists Programme Callout
The window for our associate artists programme callout is now open until June 18th.
About our Associate Artist Programme
Pan Pan’s Associate Artist Programme is a professional development opportunity for artists working in theatre as makers, designers, performers, producers, etc. As one of Ireland’s longest-running companies with a focus on contemporary work and collaboration, we are always eager to support and engage with emerging, independent and less-established artists.
Past Associate Artists have gone on to develop sustainable freelance careers and in some cases, establish their own successful theatre companies. In 2026 we will hold an open call for two new Associate Artists.
The programme offers:
artist support and advice from Pan Pan’s core team
access to dedicated desk space in Pan Pan's central offices
membership to IETM - International network for contemporary performing arts, a long-established organisation that offers extensive resources and networking opportunities
attending and/or shadowing team during rehearsals where desired
employment opportunities on Pan Pan productions where possible
complimentary tickets to Pan Pan shows and Pan Pan Platform shows at Dublin Fringe
Who is an Associate Artist?
We welcome applications from people at any stage of their creative career, not currently enrolled in education. The Associate Artist programme is less formal and more fluid than other opportunities offered by Pan Pan: to complement our annual International Mentorship Programme, which targets theatre makers, directors, writers and performers, this programme is particularly suited to designers, producers and other theatre artists/arts workers with a desk-based practice who would benefit from dedicated space in a shared office. We are also interested to hear from applicants who may also have experience working with other art forms, and are interested in developing their work within the world of theatre.
Artists must be based on the island of Ireland. Pan Pan welcomes and encourages applications from candidates coming from a diversity of national, ethnic or cultural groups (including, but not limited to Asian, Black, Traveller and minority ethnic, refugees, people with disabilities, LGBTQI+ artists and artists who are parents).
Timeline for the application and selection process:
Applications open: 21st May 2026
Applications close: 18th June 2026
Shortlist decisions communicated: 29th June 2026
Interviews: 6th & 7th & July
Final decisions communicated: 10th July 2026
