Another year is coming to a close — and what a year it’s been. Despite the challenges and disappointments brought about by Covid-19, we did our best to make 2020 the best year it could possibly be.

WHAT IS THE WORD - December 17, 8:00 PM Strand Arts Centre, Belfast

In October, our new show WHAT IS THE WORD had its world premiere in Paris at the Centre Culturel Irlandais @ Cinéma Les 3 Luxembourg.

Featuring 11 of Ireland’s leading actors, WHAT IS THE WORD is an audio cinematic experience presenting a curated collection of Samuel Beckett poems.

WHAT IS THE WORD will be coming to Dublin soon, but our friends in Belfast can experience this immersive sensory journey into the world of Samuel Beckett’s poetry later this week.

Coming to the Strand Arts Centre as part of Belfast International Arts Festival on December 17th at 8:00 PM. Tickets are on sale and disappearing quickly, so get them here while you can.

Scan the QR code to the left with your phone’s camera to explore the WHAT IS THE WORD programme, including an essay from dramaturg Nicholas Johnson.

We also welcomed five new International Mentorship artists for the 8th Pan Pan International Mentorship with Terry O’Connor of Forced Entertainment. Congratulations to our participants!

Although we couldn’t meet in person to close our 7th Pan Pan International Mentorship with Kelly Copper, we brought the Symposium online with the first ever Pan Pan Symposium Hours.

Check out some highlights from the Symposium Hours here! With mentor Kelly Copper of Nature Theatre of Oklahoma, and participants Sarah Gordon, Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín, Maeve O'Mahony, and Richard Walsh, and mentorship coordinator Lian Bell.

It's how Beckett the master manipulator of form, would have subverted immersive theatre.
- The Irish Times (Cascando)

Summer saw the return of Cascando as we took our promenade audio experience of Samuel Beckett’s 1963 radio play to Galway International Arts Festival and FFT Düsseldorf. We hope to bring Cascando back to Dublin soon; in the meantime, you can watch the new trailer from Düsseldorf here.

And despite the lockdown, an innovative and unusual Dublin Fringe Festival: Pilot Light Edition kept us busy in September with the second year of Pan Pan Platform. This year we were delighted to support Initiation from Matthew Bratko & Frank Sweeney and Will I See You There by murmuration.

The first batch of our PANPANDEMIC face masks sold out in record time. While we restock, you can now support us with a once-off or recurring donation. Click the button below to learn more.
